There is no discography in terms of original label details and chart performances (where applicable), but it does show the date of recording of each track and it comes with liner notes written by Rich Kienzle on one side of a large fold-out insert. On the other side of the insert is a full-page blow-up of the photograph of an unidentified mid-1950s road-house shown on the CD cover. The selections chosen for the compilation by Gregg Geller are best described in the following excerpt from the insert: “The music reflected the atmosphere within where patrons swung between wrenching depression over lost or unrequited love and liquor-fuelled cockiness and occasional violence.”

Although the CD played well and the name singers were good, only a few of the songs were what I would call good and Honky Tonk. They are not too danceable. Where’s the old Texas Two style?
